Music Builds Confidence
Over the years, music has become one of my biggest builders of confidence. In sixth grade, I barely knew how to read sheet music. Today, I perform in jazz and wind ensemble bands, and stand in front of crowds improvising solos. I’ve grown into someone who is comfortable stepping onto a stage. The Thing About Recovery
Recovery doesn’t just mean getting enough rest. Today, after finishing my baseball and strength training, I decided to slow things down for a bit. I spent the evening fishing, just enjoying the quiet and giving myself space to breathe. I find that fishing allows my body and mind to recover. During that time I process what I’ve learned, gained, and practiced. It allows me to come back the next day more focused and locked in, able to access my focus flow with new results.
